So, just for grins and giggles, I googled “SID backlight fuse”
It took me to a post regarding a similar issue in a 2003 9-5 on a different Saab forum that pointed to Fuses 8 and 27 as being involved in the SID, and in that poster’s case, Fuse 8 had blown.
He commented that in the description of the fuses in the manuals,m it wasn’t clear that 8 had anything to do with the SID.
Nothing to lose by trying and taking a look!
(EDIT: It looks like the wiring diagram you posted refers to those two fuses — see the upper right corner of the posted image!)
