I bequeathed my '99 9-5 to the Car Talk Vehicle Donation program early last year.

Interestingly, I was able to follow it's fate for a few days when it ended up at a nearby LKQ Pick Your Part yard. It wasn't there long, and most likely was stripped and sent to the crusher. It was sad that the car had to go that way, but the automatic transmission was failing, the cost of repairing it was not viable, and no one wanted to buy it.

If you are convinced that her 2003 9-5 Linear will suffer the same fate and bypass auction entirely (and the donation agency concurs), my only advice is that you remove items of high value before turning it over. I did not, but wish I had.
