Our 2006 apparently has a full charge but the compressor doesn't work in spite of getting the appropriate signal. Only 125,000 km but it failed two years ago. Will probably be going into a shop in about a month. With respect to our two other Saabs, both 2005's, now that they are/were over 15 years old, both required a mini shot of refrigerant via DIY. No oil since all the oil is probably in the system. Just slow leaks - I would say a top up (half retail can or less) every 2 years to bring it from semi-Kool back to real-kool. Leaks like these are apparently difficult to trace they are so slow and may be dynamic leaks with every twist or movement in the body.
