That is the question. I looked at several very good online videos - you have to disassemble the dash and a lot of bits around the steering column to get to the circuit board holding the dash lights. Doesn't look impossible, but there are an awful lot of plastic tabs and such in my '01 Aero that are now 20+ years old.
Then there's the issue of the bulbs themselves; I've bought replacement bulbs for the ACC and radio units on eBay, fairly inexpensive and all seem to work fine.
I don't have access to the WIS: are all the bulbs that light the speedo and other gauges the same? Where would you go to get them - there are 33! They all gradually went out one by one until now I have no instrument lighting at all.
Should I take the car to the local Saab indy, who's most likely done this a zillion times? I think he mentioned $200+ for the job. I'm handy with electronics and such, but the thought of removing all of those components is a bit daunting...
