My vote would be for DIY. It's not as bad of a job as it seems. The only clips that I've ever broken are the ones on the steering wheel shroud. The lower half has clips towards the back. If you press the lower half in, the upper half should pop off without breaking anything. The clips on the dashboard fascia itself are very strong and made out of metal. The SID and ACC clips won't break, either. The wiper and blinker stalks have clips that space themselves out from the steering column, but they're most likely already broken and the little pieces will fall out when you remove them. You will need radio removal tools for the job if you still have the factory radio, but they're cheap and readily available, since Fords used the same tools for many years.
The only bulbs you'll need to replace are the ones that light up the gauges, including the one for the shift indicator legends, if you have an automatic. You might also replace the turn signal indicator bulbs. There are maybe a half dozen of those. The ones for the warning lights aren't illuminated constantly and should still be just fine. They all come on momentarily when you turn the ignition on, so you can see if any are burned out. The dashboard bulbs are all standard 2721 bulbs. I bought a box of Osram bulbs from Amazon once, and a box of Flosser bulbs from eEuroparts another time. I had no preference between the two. It was just a matter of availability.
