Actually, I have a set. I've had mixed results using them on the waterproof connectors that Saab uses under the hood and and outside of the body. The plastic seal is difficult to pierce and half the time the needle gets deflected away from the metal contact. I also worry about making a hole for corrosion to set in. On normal multi-pin connectors it is easy enough to get the needle next to the contact. Sometimes I will pierce the wire with the back probe instead and seal the the hole with liquid plastic when I'm done.
There are also wire piercing test leads that have a hook with a spring loaded needle that work well. The same caveat about sealing the holes when finished apply.
