Agree with Jeremy R. If you keep your serviceable belt, be sure and mark it before taking it off showing the direction of rotation. If you replace it, keep it in the trunk for an unforeseen emergency or get another as a spare. If you have a 4 cylinder, I believe that there is a video (or videos) on how to replace the alternator worth watching; and the saabcentral board has detailed articles on both the V6 and the I4 replacement processes. Search online for Saab alternator replacement.
