Hi,
In regards to your OBD2 comm issue, as per WIS - diag tool communicates with DICE(628) using K-Line utilizing Pin7 of diag port(445) and Pin 28 on the DICE(628). DICE(628) utilizes Pin 5 and 14 for digital CAN Bus communication. To verify healthy CAN Bus communication network resistance between Pins 5/14 has to bee 60+/-2 Ohms. What brand of diag tool are you using? Data on CAN network is bitwise. It's either logical 1 or logical 0
Are you able to use another diag tool, Tech2 for instance?
In regards to air/fuel mixture there are a LOT of variables. How good is your MAF, DIC, Plugs and gaps. Lambda sondes, are they Bosch original, how old? What is their performance? I would look at health of injectors as well. With further troubleshooting using oscilloscope, are the pulses (PWM) triggered at the correct time and duration, at the correct piston phase. Your cam timing could also be slightly off. I can go on and on speculation on what's wrong.
I would look for a good automotive electrician to help you out. You have to establish good diag comm network first, use proper diag tool as Tech2 and go from there tracing rich air/fuel combustion mixture.
Best of luck, Ro
