My 21 year old 9-5 SE(V6) has not had new mounts in its life. I had very noticeable vibration with foot on brake at idle and on initial acceleration from a stop. I found that the engine strut on the right suffered a stripped bolt and a snapped bolt and the yoke was touching the timing belt cover. [stripped bolt had to have occurred when timing belt was done] Ordered an engine strut and right mount from esaabparts and got three M10 x 75 (coarse thread) bolts from Lowe's (bolt heads are 17mm - originals are 16mm) as only one of the original bolts was in stock [similarity pointed out by SWEDECAR]. Much improvement, but decided to also change the transmission mount on the driver's side. In a 2000, only the battery and tray have to come out. Took over an hour to work the mount bolts out of the frame (copious PB Blaster) since they were rusted in place, but got them out without incident. Found an original Hutchinson trans mount on eBay. Car now feels almost new. No indication that I need to replace the rear mount yet.
I'll put images into my gallery later today.
