I have seen a few front shields here and there from time to time, but I was hesitant to get them because the front shields look tough to get off with those small screws. Has anyone had any luck getting them off that lives in the salt belt? Those little screws that hold the rotors on can also be a real bear to remove and rotors are changed more frequently. I have seen some shields disintegrating so sometimes we have to go without in the front but that isn’t an option in the rear. I guess you could drill out the screws as a last resort if you were replacing the front hub and had usable shields. If I did find shields I would paint them before installing since it seems unlikely they will ever be available again.
