The rear shields are completely different from the front as the handbrake parts are mounted on the shield and the hub has to be removed to remove the shield. Of course that requires removal of the rotor/drum, disconnecting the handbrake cable, unplugging the ABS cable and removing the four hub nuts from behind. Then that has to all go back together once the backplate/shield is replaced. If you have ever done the handbrake shoes you know what a pain it can be to get those four springs back in place and the handbrake parts assembled.
