A little off topic, but I recently hit all the visible rust on the front shields with Rustoleum silver (since they were out of black at both hardware stores) and also coated rust spots on the PS cooling loop in the right front of my 2000 9-5 plus a lot of other rust spots in the engine bay. When I do the brakes again (these Akebono pads have 42,000 miles on them but still are very serviceable) I'll treat the rest of the shield areas.
The disk retention screws I remove and reinsert with anti-seize on them. Shops generally don't bother with making it easier to service brakes for someone else later.
