I have a CD player to fix in my MY2000. First, I’ll see if I can find that there is a broken internal part I can fix; second will swap the CD player for one from a head unit from another used head unit; third option is to go the whole route with replacing the entire head unit. Seem as though most for sale on EBay are simply pulled from junked cars without divorcing them.
Your explanations will be quite useful.
[My player sometimes accepts disks and other times tries three times to load with a clicking sound and then spits it back out again. I’ve seen one video that showed a broken plastic plate covering a set of gears. Hoping that is the issue. ]
