'02 ARC Wagon 'Limp Home' stuck Posted by thewheell22 [Email] (#2450) [Profile/Gallery] (more from thewheell22) on Wed, 22 Jun 2022 14:00:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi! Rebuilt heads and put all back together and on start-up tripped 'Limp-Home' right off the get go. After clearing codes: (1530 ped sens 1&2; 1230 Throt Pos 1&2 sens out of range; 1231 Throt Pos 1&2 out of range) changed Throttle Body to a donor and the same thing happened. Did I short the Throt Body branch of the harness while maneuvering around in there replacing the heads? I checked resistance to ground on all the main TB input pins and no continuity and on the Limp Home solenoid input the correct spade is grounded. I haven't checked anything else for fear of mucking up any resistors in the TH unit or going back to ECU. I'm at a loss and further out of my experience zone here. I have a Tech II and the Blue Electrical Service Manual but admit a lot of it is Hieroglyphics to me.
I have one more TB and an ECU from an '01. I don't want to just throw them in if there's something that's going to harm those as well. Any help with how to chase this down would be tremendously helpful. the nearest shop that will work on our cars is 300 MILES AWAY! I have a modicum of mechanical experience. Thanx!
