It's been a while since I did mine.. but the Saab config is no different than most cars, and it's pretty straightforward.
Removing the strut assembly isn't difficult.. A breaker bar/pipe comes in handy for the larger bolts connecting into the wheel hub, etc.. The biggest pain is typically breaking down the assembly and trying to remove the top nut from the strut after you compress the spring, using a compressor tool. The entire shaft spins with it. However; if you have an impact wrench it usually comes off with with little effort..
I'd stay away from those all in one replacement assemblies.. as they tend to be cheaply made last I recall...
As mentioned by others.. its a good time to replace the sway bar links, as they are inexpensive..
