Got distracted on one of my '04s, and left the plastic shield over the ventilation fan off PLUS I didn't have anything like a seal between this large plastic under wipers shield and the front window glass.

So, we've had a lot of rain lately (end of July) and water got in and soaked the TWICE (I'm thinking). Might be because of the peculiar angle of the vehicle as parked, but if you need to use duct tape, think about doing it. This '04 is down for the count, for now (won't recognize key, etc.)
