Good question... update. Posted by PGAero [Email] (#1143) [Profile/Gallery] (more from PGAero) on Mon, 5 Sep 2022 15:05:33 In Reply to: Is this the original DIC, dmz789qqq, Fri, 2 Sep 2022 07:07:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I recently received the same DIC from eEuroparts. (Late July?)
The first one I got was broken (the aluminum casting had been broken by what was clearly a drop, whether during shipping or earlier). I ordered another and returned the first one on their dime.
The second one came, and I put it in the car. It has stalled three or four times with the new DIC in the first ~6 weeks of use. The last time it stalled, it wouldn't restart. (105 degrees, near a busy intersection!) I swapped the DIC to my spare (we all carry spares, right!!!) and it started right up. I am working with eEuro to get another one under their 2-year warranty. (They want me to pay for return shipping. I feel like telling them if they want the bad part, they can pay for it to be shipped!)
Anyway, I hope I just got a fluke of a deal.
To everyone.... please keep us all informed of our experiences with these DICs.
EDIT 6 Sept.: I think my car's CPS is failing. Another no-start when hot yesterday, then it started later after cooling off. (I did not try a DIC swap this time, as my wife was the one out and about. The car is relegated to in-town use only until I swap the CPS.
