Not knowing anything about the BB software, would there be any way to mark all posts before combining the boards? Could you begin each post with OG or NG, which would facilitate searching? In any case, I do think there is a good argument for combining the boards if that is the only way to continue the NG board. From what my tech tells me, NG owners need all the help they can get because even WIS is more difficult to use for the NG.
