Measuring Alternator Output Posted by LawrenceJ [Email] (#926) [Profile/Gallery] (more from LawrenceJ) on Mon, 24 Jul 2023 14:01:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hello All,
I'd like to know how to measure the voltage produced by the alternator directly at the alternator and not at the battery. I have replaced both the alternator and the battery recently, but I am suspecting the my (original) positive battery cable has corroded internally, and is causing a voltage drop a the battery (13.4 volts at best). How can I measure the voltage directly at the alternator?
