I don't think I or anyone changed the DICE on my 9-5 ... and I have no idea why it s not my body VIN.
that said:
i looked up the DICE's VIN, and it turns out it is a 1999 VIN, associated with a 4/5 door hatchback. I have no idea why it was used.
So in the Tech2, i used 1999 instead of 2000, and could go beyond where I was stuck.
I entered the TWICE install procedure using: model/year/diagnostic/TWICE/immobilize.
It does the 210 second wait, then displays 'programming immobilizer'
Then, i get this message:
didn't work because
1) engine on or
2) Trionic7 might have old software, use SPS in TIS2000, and perform a new immobilizer programming.
At this point I see no DTCs
These same things happen whether or not I place the transponder within the segregated receiver
I am fully perplexed. Don't even know where the Trionic7 is, or what it does ...
:(
Ideas ?
