If you have an oscilloscope and an appropriate current clamp probe for this, you can measure the signal through the motor and detect erratic behaviour before it fails. Search for Swedecar's posts on this or go to his gallery as he has posted screenshots. Thanks so much Anders for sharing that with the Saab community!
