The 05 abs module is different from 04, different physical orientation even. I have an 04 (with a bad ABS module) and an 05...

While some of the symptoms (speedometer and xmas tree lights, if he is getting abs, TCS, parking brake light, and the triangle warning iirc) point to bad ABS communication, airbag lights and issues with the remote and the radio do not relate at all.

To me this points to some other electrical issue that is causing numerous issues with the car. I would first check the status of various grounds that are relevant to these circuits. I definitely wouldn't want to go down the rabbit hole of replacing an abs if it was just a bad ground...
