It could be the crank position sensor if you haven’t changed that lately. I had exactly the same problem and my tech checked it when it was in for state inspection recently and he said it was way out of specification. He didn’t have one on hand so I just ordered it and will put it in myself when it comes next week. Most of the time the car starts fine but it’s risky to drive it. It is about $55 and you want to get a good brand for something that vital. I ordered a Bosch. It’s a little tight to get at the one screw and you want to do it when the car is cold because you are working near the exhaust and turbo, but you may know that from experience.
