Ed: NOt sure about your logic of saying you expect your dealer to replace your rotors before the warranty is up. Unless you were to have a failure in material or workmanship( meaning, normal rotor wear is NOT covered), the dealer cannot just spot you a couple of rotors on the theory that they are wearing out.
I just switched to the EBC Green pads the other day, and based on several posts on this board, as well as checking with my mechanic, I do not expect them to cause more wear than the stock pads. The pedal feel is slightly harder with the EBC pads, but it is a very little difference, and actually more to my liking. Two days of driving, wheels are spotless. Same thing with stock pads, and I'd be out washing the car now rather than typing this.
I think that if you were to have a rotor failure in material or workmanship, your dealer, and or the local Saab regional service tech, would side with you. Normal wear is not covered by the warranty.
