probably more reliable and you get better service at the Lexus dealer. Saab dealers are ok, depending on which one you go to, but definitely not at the same level as Lexus.
Saabs are, err...err...Saabs :-), they are different. I can't use the word quirky anymore because they aren't, ok, maybe where you put the ignition key.
I also live in NJ, I have two Saabs, we don't go trooping around the state in snow but we got by with no season tires (i.e. all season tires :-). If in doubt, get winter tires.
I don't know what extra creature comfort features in the RX300 that you cannot find in a 9-5. For me, the *REAR* seat heater does it for me :-). I don't think the RX300 has that, at least not when I looked.
Are you sure the max cargo height in the Toyota, err... I meant RX300 is more than a wagon ? What do you intend to carry ? Would it be a 50" TV from Best Buy ? Seriously, I think the wagon would have plenty of room to haul things from Home Depot or a moderate size refrigerator.
You are correct, RX300 was probably designed with the US family in mind, hence the extra storage space, cup holders and such.
If I may make a suggestion, have you looked at the Toyota Highlander or the Honda Pilot ? The Highlander is essentially the same car as the RX300 and actually has a little more room, and comes in at a slightly lower price. The Pilot has a third row seat and may come in handy when your little passengers invite their friends. The Honda dealers probably ask a premium for the Pilots however.
