What does the guarantee state? That they will repaint the car if it looks bad after 6 years? I doubt it. Polymers are great for protecting a car's finish, but not great for making the finish look detailed.

If the purchaser's motivation is to never wax the car, then I think it would be a wise purchase. Chances are, that customer won't be waxing or protecting the finish of the car with or without a dealer applied paint protectant.

Several high quality polymers on the market will last at least 6 months per application (depending on UV, weather, etc.). If you add up the cost of 12 applications of say klasse All In One, (twice per year for 6 years) it will be a fraction of the cost of the dealer added product. Plus, you will have a fresh application every 6 months to make the car look good as well as be protected.
