Not so proud of how the accident happend. Lets just say I swerved to avoid something and ended up jumping a curb and hitting a concrete footing head on. (much worse than the first thing I swerved to avoid) It was a pretty much dead on (Slight offset to passenger side) impact with a concrete footing (~2ft diameter, that goes down at least four feet) that held up a light post. I ended up moving the footing back about two inches at the top surface and tilting it back a bit. Don't really know how fast I was going, but it was faster than I should have been for the situation I was in.
The car has some serious damage. Can no longer shift gears, engine doesn't run, roof has two "kinks" on either side of the sunroof. Blew a rim that hit the curb just before the concrete footing, moved passenger side suspension back about four inches, hood is now U shaped where the concrete footing pushed it back, interior trim pannels popped out, Fenders are bent, car is leaking water and oil all over my garage floor. Doors still open and close and there is no noticeable intrusion of any type into the pasenger compartment. The hands free cell phone still works... When I feel like taking pictures of it, I will post them somewhere and give a link...
