I said nothing about boiling - air at room temperature contains quite a bit of water vapor. And - as the temperature rises it can hold even more water vapor. This results in an expansion rate much greater than that of an ideal gas.
I can tell you for sure that the pressure rise characteristics I've gotten from using clean dry air have matched the results I used to get using nitrogen.
