Imported here in September. I was given the chance to build a new dealer from the ground up. The local Cadillac store bought the Saab franchise from a previous dealer that was a 10 on the worthless scale. We have a huge budget, and a clean slate. We move into our brand new, Saab Unlimited facility next month. Things are wonderful, this is a great Saab market, and things are starting to take shape. We recently hired a 'heavy hitting' Saab tech with almost 20 years of experience from another dealer, and have another coming to work in about 30 days. Our new service advisor is the sweetest girl on the face of the planet. I've started hiring a sales team (so that I can stop selling and start focusing on marketing, inventory tracking, local Saab events, service CSI, service clinics, etc. Our grand opening for the new store will be in April, and we've secured some great cars for the event. We'll be showcasing an original Sonnett Super Sport, and another 'to be determined' classic Saab from SCUSA's collection. We tried to score one of the concept cars, but both of them are back in Sweden, currently. We will be hosting a couple of invitation only parties for the week of the opening. One will be a Saab only party, the other will be for the entire store, both should be a lot of fun. Cool cars, cold drinks, and hot food (sounds like every man's dream. Well, minus the Hooter's Girls. :-) ).
Things are great; I can't complain.
Cheers,
Brian.
