OnStar usage (questions for all users--please)

I see all these posts regarding OnStar and whine noise when using Triad and when not using Triad. I'm just curious: what are people using OnStar for anyway. I think its the biggest hype made over the least important feature SAAB has in their new 9-5/9-3 series. Please dont tell me you are all habitually locking your keys in the car or getting in life threatening vehicular accidents! Do the OnStar operators have sexy voices? Are you showing off to your passengers? Do you have a really poor sense of direction? Do they really recommend a local restaurant to you and get you a reservation?????? THe real questions is will you renew your free subscription after 1 year, and if so at what level and why???
Just call me Mr. Curious, but I'd like to know!
BTW: I too have a Triad unit and think IT is the by far a better feature than OnStar.
