I use it to find hotels when I'm traveling. I use it when my wife is taking me to "this great place we just have to eat and she 'knows exactly how to get there'" which she doesn't.
ONSTAR WILL NOT UNLOCK YOUR DOORS in a Saab!
We use it like CRAZY when we travel by car... for things like restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, Ice Cream, and directions, etc. I've used it to send flowers to my wife.
Will I renew at the end of the trial period? WOW, that's a tough question. It's not cheap and I didn't think of it as a safety feature when I bought the car. I press the button like mad when I'm out of the area, but for day to day use, I don't know that I could warrant the $40 monthly fee.
HOWEVER, when the Personal Calling pricing falls in line, THEN I might have to maintain the service, but I would certainly miss the conveneince during trips.
