Awhile ago I posted a question about the scarcety of 5 spd Aeros... This weekend, I test drove a '00 Aero with auto and found that it shifted well enough that I wouldn't be adverse to buying one (as opposed to driving 100miles to get a 5 spd). So here's the question... over the life of the car, will a manual tranny be more/less/equal expensive to maintain than an auto? If the 5 spd requires a clutch or two and a few oil changes, will it be more expensive than the regular servicing on an auto? Also, the sales guy told me that the 5 spd models tended to get driven harder than the auto's. How do you drive an auto hard???
