Of course everyone should follow the break-in instructions in the manual,
;-), but having said that in over 30 years of new automobile and motorcycle sales, I have never seen a break-in related service issue.

On the contrary I have seen service issues for "little old lady" cars that weren't broken in enough.

And the cars that I'm familiar with that were broken in hard, run a lot stronger than normal.
