But dont always trust what the CID says, it is close but not exact. If you are crusing steadily on the Hwy at about 60mph, reset the CID and see what you average. If it is anywhere from 28-32mpg then you are close to the norm. Just remember that everytime you floor the car you will use almost 1/10 gallon of gas. Also you will use up to 30% more gas for the first 3-5 miles of driving, because the engine is not yet at operating temperature. I get 17-19mpg around town, but easily got 28-30mpg on a long distance trip to New Jersey. If you don't need the extra speed try driving the car without completely spooling turbo. If I keep my RPM's below 2500 while driving I get much better MPG, not as much fun, but sometimes worth the trade off. Enjoy!
