Even so in the end I think the Hirsch products
are good, they sell near all the SAABs they sell
with their upgrades, and at least in Switzerland
the warranty is not voided. (but its only 1 year here).
More importantly I have talked to owners of people
which use Hirsch ECUs, I have heard of no problems.
Nordic makes a very good product... as to Abbott the
problem I have is the total lack of data on performance
gains on their web site.
Emissions, For sure the Hirsch and Nordic ECUs pass the
Euro emission tests. Depending on the model even the tough
Euro3 standard which should be ok in most of the US.
I have ordered the Step1 upgrade from Hirsch for my Aero,
why don't you wait a month and I keep you updated on
the gains in performance. (250Hp, 380Nm) I get my
kit next thursday.
Regards,
Coolknight
