Thanks for the correction. I, too, have been in contact with Andreas - although several months back. He said they were doing testing on US Emissions compliance, but also was not too concerned that their existing unit would fail US tests. I did not hear about a U.S. based operation, but with G.M.'s involvement in Saab, it might make more sense. I live in Austin and there are a many more Saab's on the road here than there were two years ago. A solid marketing plan and outstanding service from the local dealership have certainly born the fruit Saab was looking for in this demographic.
I'm always happy to have non-Saab'ers climb into my innocent little black rocket and wait for them to ask the inevitable question, ""Wow, what's under the hood of this thing?" ;)
