Mazda 3 is a much smaller car than the 9-5. Mazda 6 is much closer in size, yet still less passenger room in the rear seat. I drove the 6 before i bought my 9-5 aero. Engine performed well, suspension was also very good, though rear suspension travel is a little short. Interior components are of a lesser quality and i wasn't able to get as comfortable in the driver seat. No passanger elec adjustments. (of course the price is lower.) Quite a nice car for the price.
