I had Saab roof rack bars on my 9000 that attached via the holes under the door gasket (like the 9-5 sedan), and I now have the Saab roof rack bars that attach to the roof rails. They tend to migrate. I prefer the former, except that with the rails the distance between the bars is variable. That is only important if you want a roof box. No wind noise, but the rails are a pain to wash and wax around. I'd gladly go without.
