They don't seem to do well in heavy/wet snow such as we get in the NE. I live 70 miles North of NYC so when it rains there, I get heavy wet snow. I travel up to Whiteface Mountain and Montreal often and they seem to fail in deep snow, fairly good on ice. My real complaint is going up grades from a dead start, driveways etc. Maybe it's a front wheel thing. I do find that they work better if I shut off ESP.
