Right now, there is little reason for a car thief to steal Saabs as the parts market for them is relatively small. This is why Hondas and other popular cars are always at the top of the list. It's not because they're great cars, rather, there is a huge parts market for the parts of these cars.
As Saabs get more popular you may find more people trying to figure a way to steal them. I'm glad I've got a (relatively) older (01) Saab as I fear the influences of GM bearing down on the newer Saabs. I fear this will filter to the less expensive anti-theft systems GM tends to use (remember the trucks you could get into easily near the driver side mirror?). For now, however, Saabs are certainly one of the harder cars to steal.
And, as everyone has commented, don't leave valuables in the open and people won't try and smash your window and grab something then run.
