I run Blizzaks on my '99 Ford Taurus wagon, and they are amazing--can go through just about anything, AND get up my driveway, which is dirt and 1/3 mile all uphill. They are, however, noticeably squirmy on dry roads and negatively impact cornering performance. The Ultragrips on my '01 Aero SW do not do as well as the Blizzaks in snow, but are a much better overall performer and very good in the dry. I bought the Aero because I like to drive it hard, and I also have to run snow tires for 5-6 months of the year. I decided to give a bit on traction with the Ultragrips rather than lose the performance by using Blizzaks (or studded).
