As I just mentioned below, my '02 had a blown engine replaced at < 50k before I bought it.
Not sure what caused the blown engine since I never saw it but I guess it wasn't head bolts, if that was a nonissue in '02+
Frankly, this is just crazy. The two things Saab had going for it all these years were safety and engine longevity. My '91 900T has had 0 engine problems and except for the 2.1L block issue, these engines were bulletproof & good for 200k (with proper maintenance of course) without breaking a sweat.
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
