I have a spreadsheet with transmission numbers, but it is at work. Basically, from the tranny number (mine GM55706) the 7 is the input gear ratio. You want a 7. If all you can find is a 6, you can swap your input gear set and chains to a new one. Other than that, they are all mostly compatible. Yours has a 'centering mechanism' internal. for simplicity, I would look for another one with this same feature. I think that was 86<. Maybe someone else can chime in here. There is another concern with larger inner drivers. Hopefully Justin Van Abrahms can help out. I think he did this recenlty and has a good handle on it. I would ask around at teh JY's and see if they will pull one for you. If not, you will have to get their back hoe and a chain to pull it out and separate it at the spot. I would look for a car that was hit as opposed to one that is just rusted out. good luck.
