I guess the thing is to use plugs which have never been badly flooded. I don't really understand it, because I've had flooding before (different car) & after drying everything out that car started OK with the same plugs.
Others have suggested the fuel pressure regulator, & that's a likely suspect. Vacuum line to FPR shouldn't have any gasoline in it. The reason I told my story about the plugs, is in case it won't start after you fix the 'real' problem.
