unless you can tolerate lots of oil underneath the parking spot. An '88 with 180K is going to leak through seals with any oil, and that much worse with synthetic. Synthetic oil is great stuff in new cars, but causes more headaches than it's worth on older cars.
I would install new plugs if it's been sitting awhile. Spray some fogging oil or light oil into the cylinders before you put the new plugs in.
