Dear old Saab has now been to two rolling road sessions. None of these sessions where successful. I changed now (02.12.02): radiator, water pump, all coolant and vaccum hoses, T-stat (now 82°C), T-stat switch in radiator, electric fan on radiator, HT leads, new coil, new spark plugs (NGK BP6ES), reservoir cap, except the radiator all parts are new. I checked every item before I fitted things into the Saab. Ignition Timing is correct, fuel pressure is fine, all spark plugs are showing brownish/greyish colour, camshaft timing is correct, no faults in the engine side. Saab is still heavy on fuel (12-14mpg), otherwise fine driving. Except the overheating!I suppose the engine is worn out and I have to replace the engine. (Saab has 98,104 mls on the clock!). Purchased in the morning a Rover 825 Sterling with some rust as a winter car. Spent too much for the Saab.
