Guys,
I checked out this car today in decent shape, but for $2000 it's a deal. Minus cosmetics it's a great car, runs like you wouldn't believe. I think for about $500 I can get all the parts I need and fix it.
Questions:
Brakes:
Are these the same as an '85 with the parking brake being up front? If so it's a fairly big job to replace the cable(s) but do-able. The parking brake is not attached don't even know if I need a new cable.
Sunroof:
A new motor would be over $400, but used? No one is open today, is it even worth getting a used motor?
Axels:
Needs the boots to be replaced, I'll just do both axels, is this significantly different than changing on an '89?
Interior:
Shot, I can probably get a decent used interior and do the headliner myself. Anyone have a good burgundy interior they're looking to sell?
Heat:
The "heater" doesn't work...the knob moved freely, I think it's the knob or the rod, could be the valve, need further inspection. Did the old heater valves break so the knob/rod would spin with no resistance? If it's the valve I have a new spare but I would have to replace the "gas" peddle assembly.
TIA,
-Dirk
