The calipers were replaced 2001 by the former owner in a Saab Main Dealer Workshop. Recipt is in the history of the car.
They calipers are looking fine, no serious rust.

I expect that a brake caliper, replaced in 2001 will work the next 5-8 years without troubles.
All my Saabs are having low mileage, history and service record. This will tell the 'will be' owner that the car has not been neglected in tha past. I take a very close look before I buy a used car. The examination will take up to 2 hours and a test drive around 80 kms.

I heard so much about the reliability of Saabs, even a Manager from BMW told me about the famous Saabs and their long, durable cars. (BMW owned times ago RR, you remember?).

Of course there will be some lemons, but two in hands of one person? Don't think so...

Why I need a manual just for changing the front brake pads? That's an easy, hundred times done (successfully) job.

Upgrading the front brakes? Never heard before about that for a Saab 900 old style. KAD is not producing any brake parts for Saabs.
BTW I bought all brake hoses and pads at the Saab Shop. Genuine Parts! The guy from Saab told me that there will be no special knowledge needed for changing the parts.
And - who should know about Saabs if not the Guy from the Saab Shop? I don't know.

I still love the style and the art of driving in a Saab. But I don't love cars if they are producing more troubles than fun.

I decided now that my Saabs will be still on Display in my collection. But I never will drive them again.

Wasted more money than I thought before. The amount of money would easily purchased a bigger, interesting Classic car from the 1950's/1960's. Maybe from England or Germany.

The conclusion is sad for me and my wallet.

But there's no need for you acting in the harsh way you replied to me. I made bad experiences - but also very fine and happy experinces. And I tell you once again: I still love the style and art of driving in a Saab.
