Thanks for being so helpful !
> I don't really understand what you are getting.
Me neither !
> With the dip switches flipped, it now arms. That sounds good.
Agreed.
> It could be that it is still in valet mode, but I would
think it would go out of valet mode when it is removed
from the power.
Sorry, I do not know what 'valet mode' is !
> I have the both of them scanned, but will have to do it
again 'cause I think they are corrupted somehow.
That would be great, and much appreciated, thanks !
> Passive arming should occur when the interior light goes out.
It does, yes.
> I am a bit unsure of exactly how it disarms, though, it
would make sense that it happens when the door is unlocked with
the key.
According to the owners manual it is the ignition that does
the disarming, normally after a 10 sec. delay, unless that
has been changed elsewhere somehow - I have something about
these settings someplace that I saw, so I will check those.
> I have no documentation with me right now, though. I am at
my parent's house for turkey day.
I'll have to check when I get back on Sunday.
I must say that I have never really checked my alarm function.
WOW - you looked in on the board remotely - what a guy !!!
> I am more concerned that it is a KE system and the flashing
light would warn off would-be intruders.
I'll have to check it when I get back.
Please pardon, but I do not know what you mean by 'KE'.
I would be delighted if it just chirped and blinked, but did
not a thing otherwise - fake arming would be sufficient, as
long as it would disarm too !!!
Thanks for your help and attention !!
