Very Humid Weather=No Start

Thought I would give this a try to see if anyone has a suggestion as to what could be the problem here. Last Thursday here (I live in Western Mass, in the Berkshires), the temp went to 60 and we had rain and lots of snow meltage, so it was VERY humid here. On Friday morning my car would not start. This the the same problem that I had last spring on a couple of occasions. When it gets extremely humid, the car won't start, and if the RPMs go under 2000, it runs as if it is going to die. Last spring we replaced the wires, the dist cap, the rotor, and the battery (needed a new one anyway). It turns over, but just won't catch. It stumped my mechanic, but then the conditions in which it occurs didn't happen again until this last Friday. I feel that this must be something electrical and when it gets extremely humid it is interfering with the electrical system preventing it from starting, but I cannot think of anything else to look at. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help provided.
